Recent weeks call to mind events from my youth. I was 13: ‘May 4, 1970 . At Kent State University, the Ohio National Guard shot unarmed college students — some who were protesting the war and others who were passing by. The guards fired 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students (Allison Krause, Jeffrey Miller, Sandra Scheuer, and William Knox Schroeder) and wounding nine others.’ https://www.zinnedproject.org/news/tdih/kent-state-massacre/ I recall being confused, and somewhat anxious about American Soldiers shooting and killing students at the university. I recall asking my Mom why American Soldiers were Shooting American Students. I remember she said it was ‘complicated’, and the Students were ‘Rioting’ at the College. Oh.
