Supreme Injustice
We now live in the worst of times. 4/29/26 should go down as one of the Darkest Days of American History. A highly-partisan and extremist, unjust Supreme Court decided, along partisan lines, to virtually gut the Voting Rights Act of 1965. I was so disgusted, distressed and stunned by yesterday's Supreme Court Decision that I could barely think about it, much less write or speak about it. My thoughts quickly turned from Revulsion to Revolution. My thoughts drifted once again to research on bomb-making, but that's not really my thing. "For over a decade," this court has had its sights set on the Voting Rights Act." Justice Elena Kagan Justice Kagan also cited a 2013 ruling authored by Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts in a case involving Alabama's Shelby County that gutted Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. Wednesday's ruling, Kagan wrote, "is part of a set." Reuters https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/us-supreme-court-under-roberts-takes-3...
