 We now live in the worst of times.  4/29/26 should go down as one of the Darkest Days of American History. A highly-partisan and extremist, unjust Supreme Court decided, along partisan lines, to virtually gut the Voting Rights Act of 1965. I was so disgusted, distressed and stunned by yesterday's Supreme Court Decision that I could barely think about it, much less write or speak about it. My thoughts quickly turned from Revulsion to Revolution. My thoughts drifted once again to research on bomb-making, but that's not really my thing.  "For over a decade," this court has had its sights set on the Voting Rights Act."   Recent weeks call to mind events from my youth. I was 13: ‘May 4, 1970 . At Kent State University, the Ohio National Guard shot unarmed college students — some who were protesting the war and others who were passing by.   The Pres. Trump/GOP ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ has run into a Big Beautiful stumble and stall upo n reaching the U.S. Senate. First, several key Republican Senators, including Leader s Thom.
