Trump: Cuts, Tariffs, Threats

Merit Systems Protection Board - 6k USDA Employees Returned to work.

An independent federal board has ordered the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to temporarily reinstate nearly 6,000 employees fired since Feb. 13, finding reasonable grounds to believe the agency acted illegally in terminating them. AP

The Board’s final finding stated, Accordingly, a 45-day stay of Mr. Doe’s termination and the probationary terminations of the aforementioned probationary employees are GRANTED. The stay shall be in effect from March 5, 2025, through and including April 18, 2025.

The Office of Special Counsel directed the Board’s investigation and cited the Legal Re-instatement.

The Office, and The Board, (2 Agencies I have No Idea who they are /what they do), were Illegally Disbanded by DOGE & the Trump Admin., and subsequently Court Ordered back to Work.

A defiant President Trump today, in spite of recent Court Rulings against him & Musk, told his Cabinet Secretaries that Musk will make Cuts if Cabinet Secretaries Do Not.*

* In a confounding yet now common reversal, Trump said in an Afternoon Cabinet Meeting that from now on [?], the Secretaries would be 'In Charge w/ Musk Advising'.

           Pulitzer Prize winning Presidential Historian and Vanderbilt Univ.    Distinguished Professor Jon Meacham:  ‘Trump wants a 1920s America and Presidency’. MSNBC Morning Joe            

Meacham went on to explain that Mr. Trump seems to want a more unitary, powerful Executive Office in a largely White-dominated Country.

Fortunately, the Courts are ready and able to rein in a contemptuous Trump Administration making dramatic and damaging cuts to Agencies and Services.

At the Veteran’s Administration, the Trump Administration launched its all-out assault on Veterans. Elon Musk’s DOGE ordered 80,000 Jobs Cut from the Agency, which will have dramatically harmful cuts in VA Services. Veterans make up over 30% of the VA workforce, and will be heavily hit by the planned Cuts.

In other Trump. Administration activity, Courts have intervened.

  Gaza:

            Pres. Trump said this was his final warning –

“Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you,” Trump said. “Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!”

It’s unclear exactly what ‘over for you’ means.

 HAMAS balked at Pres. Trump’s latest U.S. Threat.

 The Hamas militant group brushed off US President Donald Trump’s latest     threat and reiterated that it will free the remaining Israeli hostages only in exchange for a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

 Hamas accused Mr. Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to back out of the ceasefire agreement they reached in January. AP

On 7 October 2023, immediately after the Hamas-led attack on Israel, Israel began bombing the Gaza Strip. On 13 October 2023, Israel began ground operations in Gaza, and on 27 October 2023, a full-scale invasion was launched, in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's words to: ‘Destroy HAMAS and Free the Hostages’. Well, 2 Years later, Gaza is ‘Destroyed’, HAMAS is Not. And Hostages remain in captivity, many by now dead, and some believed to be alive.

 And what is left behind in the destruction is a New Generation of HAMAS Recruits and potential Recruits, many committed to fight to the death against Israel and any ‘Foreign Invaders’.

Other News Today- in an unannounced Oval Office Press Conference, Pres. Trump had some very menacing comments on the U.S.-Iran Confrontation:

“There are two ways Iran can be handled, militarily or you make a deal... if we have to go in militarily it's going to be a terrible thing for them."

           Trump added that "something's going to happen very soon."

 President Trump is expected to make more detailed comments in an interview on Fox Business Sunday. We’ll have to wait and see what that all means.
