Trump’s Hand-picked, Deplorable Secretary of Defense, um, Secretary of War [?] just called our Military’s Top Commanders, Worldwide, to report to Washington DC for – a Rally? New Orders? New Defense, Uh, War Department Directives? A Visit with the Commander-in Chief?

Those who do know the reason why aren’t saying, and those who are saying don’t know.

‘By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:

Sec. 2.  Implementation.  (a)  The Secretary of Defense is authorized the use of this additional secondary title — the Secretary of War — and may be recognized by that title in official correspondence, public communications, …

(b) The Department of Defense and the Office of the Secretary of Defense may be referred to as the Department of War and the Office of the Secretary of War, respectively, in the contexts described in subsection (a) of this section.

Congress:

‘…the Pentagon on Friday sent a message to committees that oversee the military, explaining that Mr. Hegseth “will use this engagement to provide D.O.D. [*?] most senior service members his intent for the department,” including guidance on new “military fitness standards and several other areas of interest.” NYT

2 News Sources, NY Times, and MSNBC (Clair McCaskill), report that those who know about such matters say in this Digital Age, the Meeting/Rally is probably an unnecessary extreme, and undoubtedly expensive and not Cost-Effective.

Pete Hegseth, Trump’s clearly unqualified Secretary of whatever the Department is called, is displaying his clear mis-management to both Friends and Foes Worldwide.
