Current Affairs 10/17/25

 

 Let’s have a look at the latest Political/Social Climate in these Great United States:

        ICE Storm Troopers –

 Now we see the presence of masked, unidentified Agents/Officers [?], chasing down, tackling civilians, wrestling them into zip ties, carting these people off in unmarked vans to destinations unknown.

Even worse, a South Chicago apartment building is raided pre-dawn by unknown troopers repelling down into the building from a Military Helicopter hovering above.

Men, woman and children, many of them American Citizens, are herded down into the street wearing only their bedclothes, zip tied, sat at the curb and told to ‘Shut the Fuck up!’

Undocumented civilians, (and some Americans), are hauled-off in unmarked Vans and SUVs to unknown whereabouts. (The Americans are eventually released after this dreadful episode).

Following this harrowing, traumatic escapade, Pres. Trump speaks to ‘his Generals', gathered at the Pentagon from their Commands Worldwide for a Rally, tells these Military Leaders to beware ‘The Enemy Within’, and to be careful as these enemies ‘Do Not Wear Uniforms’. He tells the Generals ‘we are under invasion from within’.

So who does that mean? Anyone Trump and/or ‘his Generals’ suspect? Me? You?

        This Just In from the Young Republicans -

        They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery. POLITICO   Jason Beeferman and Emily Ngo   10/14/25 

In January, an attendee at a Trump-inauguration party told New York’s Brock Colyar that “he wanted the freedom to say ‘faggot’ and ‘retarded.’” 

What this ignorant slob doesn’t understand, (That’s Right – I’m saying that he is Ignorant, and as far as Social Grace is concerned; a Slob), he in fact does have ‘the freedom to Say’ those crude, derogatory things.

He does not, however, have the ‘freedom’ to direct such vulgar terms at any particular individual, or group of individuals. No one’s going to send him to Jail.

He may, though, find himself Civily Liable for casting about such insults.

This is the hidden face of the new, emerging Republican Party. These are the people Trump attracts to Washington and State and Local GOP Leadership Positions.
