On Monday, Pres. Trump pardoned nearly 1,600 people who attacked the Capitol in his name. Mr. Trump, in issuing the pardons, stated that those charged were ‘protesting’ the results of what he continues to call ‘Sham elections’, despite overwhelming Evidence to the contrary. President Trump is a Clear and Present Danger to Our Democracy. Now he once again has an Army of violent Enforcers.

‘They are now free to pursue revenge and have already said they want it. Upon his release this week, Mr. Tarrio declared that “success is going to be retribution.” He added, “Now it’s our turn.”

In the 1/24 NYT, Mr. Brendan Ballou, a former federal prosecutor, states, ‘Illiberal democracies and outright dictatorships often rely on such militia groups, whose organization and seriousness can range widely…’

Also, a federal judge on Friday barred Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes from entering Washington, D.C., without the court's approval after President Donald Trump commuted the far-right extremist group leader's 18-year prison sentence for orchestrating an attack on the U.S. Capitol four years ago. Rhodes has routinely referred to himself as a “political prisoner” whose “only crime is opposing those who are destroying our country” and has compared himself to a Jew living in Nazi Germany. The Texas Tribune 5/25/26/24

This is the Fascist, White Nationalist Parade Trump has unleashed in the U.S.

Trump would love as much as anything to have a permanent para-military Militia at his beck and call, and now he has such an Army of Thugs.  

We who cherish Democracy and Liberty are now compelled to Advocate, Organize, and Vocalize in Opposition. So Be It. jw
